Florets - Floral Quote' is a series of blog posts where I feature quotes by authors - mostly well known - but you will also find some obscure ones.

All of them have written one or several books about flowers, gardening, interior styling or interior design. Many are experts in their field but what is the most important is that they are all passionate about flowers.

I love books and in my ever growing library I look for quotes that I hope will be both helpful and useful while arranging and styling flowers.

Next week its Chelsea Flower Show - so this week's quote is about this spectacular garden show.

"The show gardens at the annual Chelsea Flower Show are the spectacular high point of a world famous event that itself is one of the highlights of the horticultural year. A show garden may be a riotously colourful extravaganza of planting, or an oasis of restrained elegance - it is also a miracle of organization and sheer hard work, since, almost unbelievably, it has been created in just two weeks. The show's many thousands of visitors have seen gardens both traditional and modern, gardens that tell stories, illustrate themes, commemorate events and convey special messages."
